Description
Auro Pravastatin (Pravastatin) is an anticholesterol agent. It is typically used for the treatment of high cholesterol levels in the blood. It may also have other uses.

Auro Pravastatin (Pravastatin) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer without regard to meals. WARNING: Use with caution in the elderly population as they are predisposed to myopathy (any disease that affects the muscles that control voluntary movement in the body). In addition to its desired action, Auro Pravastatin (Pravastatin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause muscle pain It may cause upper respiratory tract infections (coughing, runny nose, sneezing and throat pain) It may cause angina pectoris (chest pain), edema (swelling), flushing It may cause alopecia (hair loss), urticaria (hives) Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to pravastatin or any component of the formulation, active liver disease, unexplained persistent elevations of serum transaminases (liver damage), pregnancy, breastfeeding Taking Auro Pravastatin (Pravastatin) during pregnancy is contraindicated and harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Auro Pravastatin (Pravastatin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
