Description
Bacitin (Bacitracin) is a topical antibiotic agent. It is typically used as first aid to help prevent infection in minor cuts, scrapes and burns. It may also have other uses.

Bacitin (Bacitracin) is typically used one to three times daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Clean affected area and apply a small amount (equal to the surface area of the tip of a finger). Can be covered with a sterile dressing. WARNING: If irritation occurs, or if the lesion persists or worsens, discontinue use and consult a physician. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, rinse with water. Do not apply on large areas of the body. In case of deep or puncture wounds, animal bites or serious burns, consult a physician. Do not use for more than one week, except on the advice of a physician. For external use only. In addition to its desired action, Bacitin (Bacitracin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause rash, itching, pain, hypersensitivity reaction (rare). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to bacitracin and/or any of its drug formulation components. Taking Bacitin (Bacitracin) during pregnancy may be harmful to the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. If you're planning a pregnancy, become pregnant, or are breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Bacitin (Bacitracin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Bacitin (Bacitracin)
