WARNING: Cantharone Plus (Cantharidin Podophyllin Salicylic Acid) is a strong vesicant and should be used sparingly. Sensitivity to Cantharone Plus (Cantharidin Podophyllin Salicylic Acid) varies between patients. A stronger reaction may be expected in patients with fair skin and blue eyes. Do not re-apply more than once a week to the same lesion. Avoid applying on irritated or inflamed tissue. The blister that forms is often inflamed and painful. If inflammation is intense, defer the second treatment. In rare cases, tingling, burning, or extreme tenderness may occur. If this happens, remove the tape and soak the area with cool water for 10 to 15 minutes, repeating as needed to relieve symptoms. If pain persists, pierce the blister using a sterile method, apply an antiseptic, and cover with a dressing. Do not use Cantharone Plus (Cantharidin Podophyllin Salicylic Acid) in combination with any other chemical wart therapy. Do not apply near the eyes, on the face, on mucous membranes, or in the ano-genital (around the anus and genitals), intertriginous (skin folds), and axilla (underarm) regions. In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause dryness and peeling of the skin. It may cause local pain. It may cause local irritation. It may cause blisters at the application site. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Cantharone Plus (Cantharidin Podophyllin Salicylic Acid) or any component of the formulation. Use of Cantharone Plus (Cantharidin Podophyllin Salicylic Acid) is not recommended for diabetics or individuals with impaired peripheral circulation. Taking this medication during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with this medication requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
