Cerubidine (Daunorubicin) is an anticancer agent. It is typically used to treat leukemia (blood cancer) and other cancers. It may also have other uses.

Cerubidine (Daunorubicin) is typically used as directed by your doctor. The dose may change depending on your condition. Your doctor or nurse will administer Cerubidine (Daunorubicin) to you in a hospital or clinical setting. WARNING: Dosage reductions are recommended in patients with liver impairment, renal (kidney) impairment. Daunorubicin is associated with a moderate emetic potential (causes vomiting), antiemetics are recommended to prevent nausea and vomiting In addition to its desired action, Cerubidine (Daunorubicin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause cardiac problems, hair loss, mild nausea and vomiting, red urine discoloration, bone marrow depression (when the bone marrow is not able to make enough blood cells) It may cause discoloration of sweat, abdominal pain, diarrhea, discoloration of saliva, discoloration of tears Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to daunorubicin or any component of the formulation Taking Cerubidine (Daunorubicin) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Cerubidine (Daunorubicin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
