Description

Clobex (Clobetasol) is a topical anti-inflammatory drug from the cortisone family. It is typically used to treat inflammation and itching caused by a number of skin conditions such as allergic reactions, eczema, and psoriasis. It may also have other uses.

Additional information

Clobex (Clobetasol) is typically used twice per day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Apply to the affected area of the skin 2 times per day, once in the morning and once at night. Apply the smallest amount that will cover affected area. For topical use only, avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. WARNING: Allergic contact dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) may occur, it is usually diagnosed by failure to heal. Avoid contact with eyes. In addition to its desired action, Clobex (Clobetasol) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause inflammatory reactions, skin fissure
It may cause headaches, local irritation
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to clobetasol, other corticosteroids, or any component of the formulation.
Taking Clobex (Clobetasol) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. There is no available data regarding the harm of Clobex (Clobetasol) for the fetus. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
