Description
Dapsone (Dapsone) is an antibiotic. It is typically used for the treatment of dermatitis herpetiformis (an intensely itchy skin disease) and treatment of leprosy (a contagious disease that affects the skin, mucous membranes, and nerves, causing discoloration and lumps on the skin and, in severe cases, disfigurement and deformities). It may also have other uses.

Dapsone (Dapsone)'s dosage depends on the condition, it is usually given once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with or without food. WARNING: Dapsone can cause dizziness for people who take normal doses. Do not drive, use machinery, or do any activity that requires alertness until you are sure that you can do these activities safely. Dapsone is known to cause certain types of anemia (low levels of red blood cells). Use with caution in patients with heart disease, kidney impairment, liver impairment, or lung disease. In addition to its desired action, Dapsone (Dapsone) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause blurred vision, dizziness, fast heartbeat It may cause fatigue, headache, trouble sleeping It may cause loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting, skin rash or itch Contraindications: Hypersensitivity (severe allergy) to dapsone or any component of the formulation or container. Taking Dapsone (Dapsone) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Dapsone (Dapsone) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
