Description
Dermatop (Prednicarbate) is a corticosteroid agent. It is typically used for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic (itching) manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses (a disease or abnormal condition of the skin). It may also have other uses.

Dermatop (Prednicarbate) is typically applied to the affected area twice daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. For external use only. Apply a thin film to clean, dry skin and rub in gently. Do not use on diaper area, face, groin area, underarm or open wounds. Do not cover with occlusive dressings. Wash hands after application. WARNING: prolonged use of corticosteroids may result in fungal or bacterial superinfection (additional infection), discontinue if dermatological infection persists despite appropriate antimicrobial therapy. In addition to its desired action, Dermatop (Prednicarbate) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause a burning sensation, dry skin It may cause itch, redness at application site It may cause shiny skin, thinning of skin Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to prednicarbate or any component of the formulation. Taking Dermatop (Prednicarbate) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Dermatop (Prednicarbate) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
