Description
Detrol LA (Tolterodine long-acting) is antispasmodic agent. It is typically used to treat people with overactive bladders who have symptoms including frequent urination, urgency, or involuntary loss of urine. It may also have other uses.

Detrol LA (Tolterodine long-acting) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with or without food. WARNING: May cause drowsiness, dizziness, and/or blurred vision, which may impair physical or mental abilities, patients must be cautioned about performing tasks which require mental alertness (e.g., operating machinery or driving). People with liver disease or kidney disease may be more at risk of experiencing side effects and may require lower doses of Detrol LA (Tolterodine long-acting). In addition to its desired action, Detrol LA (Tolterodine long-acting) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause chest pain, abdominal pain, dizziness. It may cause headaches, fatigue, drowsiness, anxiety. It may cause xeroderma (extreme dryness of the skin). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to tolterodine or any component of the formulation, urinary retention, gastric (stomach) retention, urinary retention, uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma (high pressure in the eye). Taking Detrol LA (Tolterodine long-acting) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Detrol LA (Tolterodine long-acting) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Detrol LA (Tolterodine long-acting)
