Description
Duaklir Genuair (Aclidinium Formoterol) is an anticholinergic inhaler agent. It is typically used as a maintenance treatment of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It may also have other uses.

Duaklir Genuair (Aclidinium Formoterol) is usually taken twice daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with or without food. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with narrow angle glaucoma (caused by blocked drainage canals in the eye, resulting in a sudden rise in intraocular pressure). Use with caution in patients with urinary retention. Monitor for signs and symptoms of urinary retention, especially in patients with prostate hyperplasia (enlarged prostate) or bladder-neck obstruction. Powder for oral inhalation may contain lactose. Use with caution in patients with seizure disorders, patient having high thyroid (gland in the neck) activity and patient with low potassium levels. Do not exceed recommended dose or use with other similar medications because serious adverse events, including fatalities were reported. The use is contraindicated in patients with severe milk protein allergy. These events may occur at anytime during therapy and without warning. In addition to its desired action, Duaklir Genuair (Aclidinium Formoterol) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause headaches, dizziness, insomnia, and xerostomia (dry mouth resulting from reduced or absent saliva flow). It may cause toothache, nose and pharynx pain, cough and swelling of the sinuses. It may cause muscle pain, muscle spasm and urinary tract infection. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to aclidinium, formoterol, or any component of the formulation, severe hypersensitivity to milk proteins, use in patients with asthma without an inhaled corticosteroid. Taking Duaklir Genuair (Aclidinium Formoterol) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Duaklir Genuair (Aclidinium Formoterol) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
