Description
Dymista (Azelastine Fluticasone) is a corticosteroid agent. It is typically used to treat symptoms of moderate to severe seasonal allergic rhinitis (allergy in the nose) and related eye symptoms in patients 6 years of age and older. It may also have other uses.

Dymista (Azelastine Fluticasone) is typically used as one spray in each nostril twice a day (morning and evening). However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. For intranasal administration only. Prime pump (press 6 times until fine spray appears) prior to first use. Shake bottle gently before using. Blow nose to clear nostrils. Keep head tilted downward when spraying. Insert applicator tip 1/4 to 1/2 inch into nostril, keeping bottle upright, and close off the other nostril. Breathe in through nose. While inhaling, press pump to release spray. Avoid spraying directly into nasal septum, eyes or mouth. Avoid contact with eyes, flush eyes with water for ≥10 minutes with accidental contact. WARNING: May impair physical or mental abilities, patients must be cautioned about performing tasks which require mental alertness (e.g., operating machinery or driving). Patients who have experienced recent nasal ulcers, nasal surgery, or nasal trauma should not use DYMISTA Nasal Spray until healing has occurred. Use with caution in patients with a history of increased intraocular pressure, cataracts, and/or glaucoma (eye problems). Consider routine eye exams in chronic users or in patients who report visual changes. In addition to its desired action, Dymista (Azelastine Fluticasone) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause headaches, change in sense of taste and/or smell, nose bleeds It may cause nasal ulcers, pain, burning, irritation, crusting in the nose, runny nose It may cause soreness or dryness in the inside of the nose, sore throat, upper respiratory tract infections (coughing, runny nose, sneezing and throat pain) It may cause fever, cough, stuffy nose, chills, feeling tired, sleepiness or drowsiness, visual disturbance Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to azelastine, fluticasone, or any component of the formulation, untreated fungal, bacterial, or tuberculosis infections (bacterial infection mainly affecting the lungs) of the respiratory tract. Taking Dymista (Azelastine Fluticasone) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
