Description
Edarbyclor (Azilsartan Chlorthalidone) is a combination of antihypertensive agents. It is typically used for the management of hypertension (high blood pressure). It may also have other uses.

Edarbyclor (Azilsartan Chlorthalidone) is typically taken once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer without regard to meals. WARNING: Symptomatic hypotension (low blood pressure) may occur upon initiation in patients who are salt- or volume-depleted (e.g., those treated with high-dose diuretics, a type of drug that causes the kidneys to make more urine), correct volume depletion prior to administration In addition to its desired action, Edarbyclor (Azilsartan Chlorthalidone) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause back or leg pain, constipation, decreased appetite It may cause decreased ability or interest in sexual activity, diarrhea It may cause difficulty sleeping, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue Contraindications: concomitant use with aliskiren in patients with diabetes mellitus, anuria (failure of the kidneys to produce urine) Taking Edarbyclor (Azilsartan Chlorthalidone) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Edarbyclor (Azilsartan Chlorthalidone) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
