Description
Foam Lite ConvaTecs typically used for the management of low to non-exuding chronic and acute wounds. The dressing is a thin foam dressing with a breathable film and perforated, gentle skin friendly silicone adhesive. It may also have other uses.

Foam Lite ConvaTec is generally used once (a dressing is not reused) and can remain on the wound for up to 7 days. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of Foam Lite ConvaTec, or more often, than prescribed. Before applying the dressing, clean the wound with an appropriate cleansing product and dry the surrounding skin. Care must be taken to ensure that the periwound skin is free of any emollients or oily substances, which could affect the adhesiveness of the dressing. Remove the dressing from its sterile packaging, minimizing finger contact with the side of the dressing in contact with the wound, then remove the protective film. Hold the dressing over the wound and align the center of the dressing with the center of the wound. Place the compress directly on the wound and ensure that the dressing adheres all around the wound. WARNING: Do not use ConvaTec Foam Lite Dressing with oxidizing agents such as hydrogen peroxide or hypochlorite solutions. This dressing is for single Use only and must not be reused. Reuse may lead to an increased risk of infection or cross-contamination. In case of irritation (redness, inflammation), maceration (whitening of the skin), or hyperbudding (excessive formation of new tissue), consult a healthcare professional. In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause irritation (redness, inflammation), maceration (whitening of the skin), or hyperbudding Contraindications: Foam Lite ConvaTec dressing should not be used on people who are sensitive to or have had an allergic reaction to the dressing or any of its components. It is not compatible with oil-based products or emollients like Vaseline. Taking this medication during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby.
