Description
GD Amlodipine Atorvastatin (Amlodipine Atorvastatin) a combination of two medications: Amlodipine and Atorvastatin. Amlodipine is an antihypertensive agent used to lower blood pressure or treat angina (chest pain). Atorvastatin is an anticholesterol agent, typically used to treat high cholesterol levels. It may also have other uses.

GD Amlodipine Atorvastatin (Amlodipine Atorvastatin) is typically given once daily, at the same time every day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. The dose will vary depending on your blood pressure and cholesterol levels. It may be taken with or without meals, but should not be taken with grapefruit juice. Swallow the whole tablet with a full glass of water. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. Do not crush, break, or chew. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: This medication may increase blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia). Atorvastatin, one of the medications found in this product, may cause severe muscle pain, cramps, and weakness, especially at higher doses. Amlodipine, the second medication found in this product, may cause peripheral edema (swelling of lower legs or hands) which typically occurs within 2 to 3 weeks of starting therapy. Use with caution in patients who consume large amounts of alcohol or have liver disease or kidney disease. In addition to its desired action, GD Amlodipine Atorvastatin (Amlodipine Atorvastatin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause ankle swelling, general feeling of being unwell, erectile difficulties, or difficulty sleeping. It may cause constipation or diarrhea, stomach pain, dizziness, especially when getting up from a sitting or lying position. It may cause muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, or brown or discolored urine. It may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or fatigue. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Amlodipine, atorvastatin, or any component of the formulation. People with active liver disease, unexplained persistent elevations of serum transaminases (enzymes found in the liver) should not use this product. Pregnant and breastfeeding patients should not use GD Amlodipine Atorvastatin (Amlodipine Atorvastatin). Taking GD Amlodipine Atorvastatin (Amlodipine Atorvastatin) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with GD Amlodipine Atorvastatin (Amlodipine Atorvastatin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
