Description
Gravol 10 suppositories (Dimenhydrinate) is an anti-emetic agent. It is typically used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness due to motion sickness. It may also have other uses.

Gravol 10 suppositories (Dimenhydrinate) is typically given to adults as 1/2 or 1 suppository every 6 to 8 hours as needed, at least 30 minutes and preferably 1 or 2 hours before traveling. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. To divide a suppository into 2 equal parts, unwrap and carefully cut with a sharp edges blade through the suppository. For easier insertion and greater patient comfort, moisten and smooth any edges on the suppository prior to use. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Do not use more than 3 suppositories in 24 hours. Drowsiness may occur, therefore do not drive or engage in activities requiring alertness. Excitability may occur, especially in children. Avoid alcoholic drinks as they may add to the side effects of Gravol. This medication may also cause the symptoms of glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye) to become worse. In addition to its desired action, Gravol 10 suppositories (Dimenhydrinate) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause constipation, dry mouth, or lack of energy. It may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to dimenhydrinate or any component of the formulation, chronic lung diseases, patients who have difficulty passing urine due to an enlarged prostate (prostate hypertrophy), glaucoma (increased pressure inside the eye). Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
