Description
Hyrimoz (Adalimumab) is an immunosuppressant agent. It is typically used for the treatment of different diseases including moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis (a long-term condition that causes pain, swelling and stiffness in the joints), active ankylosing spondylitis (long-term condition in which the spine and other areas of the body become inflamed) by adults, treatment of moderately to severely active Crohn’s disease (a type of inflammatory bowel disease) by adults and pediatric patients ≥6 years of age, and treatment of moderate to severe hidradenitis suppurativa (a condition that causes small, painful lumps to form under the skin) by adults and children ≥12 years of age. It may also have other uses.

Hyrimoz (Adalimumab)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. It is given by subcutaneous (under the skin) injection, usually in the front of the thigh or abdomen. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Patients receiving Adalimumab are at increased risk for serious infections which may result in hospitalization and fatality, infections usually developed in patients receiving concomitant immunosuppressive agents (e.g., methotrexate, corticosteroids). Active tuberculosis (disease caused by bacteria), invasive fungal, bacterial, and viral infections were reported. In addition to its desired action, Hyrimoz (Adalimumab) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause skin rash, infections and respiratory infections. It may cause heart problems like high blood pressure and others, stomach pain and bleeding, nausea and vomiting. It may cause bone fractures and muscles pain. Contraindications: Known hypersensitivity or severe allergic reactions to adalimumab or any component of the formulation, severe infection, moderate to severe heart problems. Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Hyrimoz (Adalimumab) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
