Description
Ibrance (Palbociclib) is an anticancer agent. It is typically used to treat breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. It may also have other uses.

Ibrance (Palbociclib) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer at approximately the same time each day. Take this drug with food. WARNING: Low white blood cell counts (a part of your immune system that protects your body from infection) are very common when taking IBRANCE and may cause serious infections that can lead to death. Your physician should check your white blood cell counts before and during treatment. In addition to its desired action, Ibrance (Palbociclib) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause alopecia (hair loss), skin rash, xeroderma (extreme dryness of the skin) It may cause nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, decreased appetite. It may cause fatigue, fever, decrease in the number of white blood cell, red blood cell (the blood cell that carries oxygen) and platelet (colorless cell fragments in our blood that form clots and stop or prevent bleeding) counts in the bloodstream. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to palbociclib or any component of the formulation. Taking Ibrance (Palbociclib) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Ibrance (Palbociclib) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
