Description
Ilaris (Canakinumab) is an immunomodulatory agent. It is typically used to treat diseases like systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA) and periodic fever syndromes in adults and children who are at least 2 years old. It treats rare diseases where the immune system becomes overactive and causes inflammation (swelling, pain, and redness in the body). In these conditions, the immune system reacts too strongly, which can lead to fever, joint pain, rashes, or other serious symptoms. It may also have other uses.
