Description
Jamp Atenolol (Atenolol) is an antihypertensive agent. It is typically used to lower high blood pressure and to prevent the symptoms of angina (chest pain). It may also have other uses.

Jamp Atenolol (Atenolol) is typically used once daily or twice daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. May be administered without regard to meals. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus, may potentiate hypoglycemia (low blood glucose) and/or mask signs and symptoms. In addition to its desired action, Jamp Atenolol (Atenolol) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause back or joint pain, constipation, cough t may cause decreased interest or ability for sexual activity, diarrhea It may cause dizziness or lightheadedness, dry mouth Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to atenolol or any component of the formulation, sinus bradycardia (slow heart rate), heart block (chest pain, shortness of breath) greater than first-degree (except in patients with a functioning artificial pacemaker), cardiogenic shock (a life-threatening condition where your heart suddenly stops pumping enough oxygen-rich blood to your body), decompensated cardiac (heart) failure Taking Jamp Atenolol (Atenolol) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Jamp Atenolol (Atenolol) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
