Description
Jamp Dicyclomine HCl (Dicyclomine) is an antispasmodic agent. It is typically used to relieve the spasms in the digestive system that are associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS, a common condition that causes symptoms like stomach cramps, bloating, diarrhea and constipation) and other digestive tract conditions such as inflammation of the intestines. It can also be used to relieve constipation caused by muscle spasms of the digestive tract. It may also have other uses.

Jamp Dicyclomine HCl (Dicyclomine) is typically used three to four times daily. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. May be taken with or without food. WARNING: Use caution in hot weather and/or exercise. Use with caution in patients with heart problems, liver disease, renal (kidney) impairment. Use with caution in patients with mild-moderate ulcerative colitis (inflammatory bowel disease that causes inflammation and ulcers (sores) in your digestive tract). Diarrhea may be an early symptom of incomplete intestinal obstruction, treatment should be discontinued if this occurs. It may produce drowsiness or blurred vision, the patient should be warned not to engage in activities requiring mental alertness, such as operating a motor vehicle or other machinery or performing hazardous work while taking this drug. In addition to its desired action, Jamp Dicyclomine HCl (Dicyclomine) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause blurred vision, dizziness, dry mouth, impaired cognitive function (e.g., confusion) It may cause drowsiness, constipation, delirium, and hallucination, nausea, lightheadedness, weakness and nervousness. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to dicyclomine or any component of the formulation. Obstructive diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, severe ulcerative colitis (inflammatory bowel disease that causes inflammation and ulcers (sores) in your digestive tract), reflux esophagitis (a condition in which the stomach contents reflux into the esophagus or beyond (oral cavity, larynx, or the lungs), unstable cardiovascular (heart) status in acute hemorrhage (bleeding), obstructive uropathy (a condition in which the flow of urine is blocked), glaucoma (eye disease), myasthenia gravis (a condition that causes muscle weakness), breastfeeding women, infants <6 months of age Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
