Additional information
Jublia (Efinaconazole) is typically used once a day, preferably at bedtime. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. One drop of Efinaconazole is applied to the surface of each affected toenail. If you are treating the big toenail, apply a second drop to the end of the toenail using the tip of the brush. Before applying the solution to the toenails, wash and dry the affected area. Wait for at least 10 minutes before applying efinaconazole. Use the applicator brush to spread the solution to cover the toenail and the skin immediately around the nail, including the skin underneath the nail. Do not squeeze the bottle while spreading the solution. Allow the solution to completely dry before touching the area with sheets, socks, or other clothing. Wash your hands with soap after applying Jublia (Efinaconazole). Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Continue to use Jublia (Efinaconazole) for the full length of time recommended by your doctor. If you stop treatment too soon, the infection may return and be harder to treat. Persistent local pain, irritation, or dermatitis (skin irritation) may develop. If this occurs, contact your doctor or pharmacist. For topical use only on toenails and surrounding skin. Not for eye, oral, or vaginal administration. In the event of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water. Use of nail polish or cosmetic nail products has not been evaluated. In addition to its desired action, Jublia (Efinaconazole) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause skin irritation around the toenail (e.g., burning, redness, itching, stinging) It may cause blisters or crusts around the application site, skin rash, or swollen skin around the affected area Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to efinaconazole or any component of the formulation. Taking Jublia (Efinaconazole) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Jublia (Efinaconazole) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
