Description
Lidocaine (Lidocaine) is a local anesthetic (numbing medication) agent. It is typically used to produce local anaesthesia (numb a specific area) and stop pain being felt in the area of the body where it is administered. It is also used to control fast or abnormal heart beats that you might experience after a heart attack. It may also have other uses.

Lidocaine (Lidocaine)'s dosage depends on your age and condition. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. It will be given to you by your doctor or nurse in a hospital setting. Lidocaine is administered through your veins (i.e., “intravenously” or “IV”) by slow injection. It is given in a facility that is staffed and equipped to immediately manage the potential side effects. WARNING: Use extreme caution in patients with severe liver dysfunction, may have increased risk of lidocaine toxicity. In addition to its desired action, Lidocaine (Lidocaine) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, feeling hot or cold It may cause confusion, ringing in your ears, blurred vision, double vision, or numbness Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to lidocaine or any component of the formulation, hypersensitivity to another local anesthetic of the amide type, adam-Stokes syndrome (abrupt, transient loss of consciousness due to a sudden but pronounced decrease in the cardiac output), some heart diseases, premixed injection may contain corn-derived dextrose and Its use is contraindicated in patients with allergy to corn or corn-related products. Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
