Description
Lupin Tiotropium (Tiotropium) is a bronchodilator. It is typically used to to manage airway blockage from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD, a lung disease that makes it hard to breathe). This can include chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the lungs) and emphysema (damage to parts of the lung known as alveoli). It may also have other uses.

Lupin Tiotropium (Tiotropium) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. The contents of the capsule must be inhaled once daily through the mouthpiece of the LupinHaler inhalation device only. Do not swallow the capsule. The LupinHaler device is especially designed for Lupin Tiotropium and must not be used with any other capsules. Likewise, you should not take the capsules with any inhalation device other than the LupinHaler. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Lupin Tiotropium is not a rescue medicine and should not be used on an as needed basisfor treating sudden severe symptoms of COPD (e.g., sudden breathing problems). Lupin Tiotropium can cause dizziness orblurred vision. Before you drive or do tasks that require special attention, wait until you know how you respond to the medication. In addition to its desired action, Lupin Tiotropium (Tiotropium) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause coughing, dry mouth or throat, bad taste, hoarse voice, or heartburn. It may cause dizziness, itching, difficulty sleeping, or dehydration. It may cause sore throat, inflammation of the mouth, gums and/or tongue, or nosebleeds. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to tiotropium bromide, atropine or its derivatives (such as ipratropium), or any component of the formulation. Taking Lupin Tiotropium (Tiotropium) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Lupin Tiotropium (Tiotropium) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Lupin Tiotropium (Tiotropium)
