Description
Min Ovral 28 (Ethinyl Estradiol Levonorgestrel) is a combination birth control pill (oral contraceptive) that contains a progestin (levonorgestrel) and estrogen (ethinyl estradiol). It is typically used to prevent pregnancy. It may also have other uses.

Min Ovral 28 (Ethinyl Estradiol Levonorgestrel) is typically used as 1 tablet daily for 21 days, then 1 "reminder" pill daily for 7 days, and then begin the next pack. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer at the same time each day. These pills can be taken with or without food. Combined hormonal contraceptives may be initiated at anytime during the menstrual cycle if it is reasonably sure the woman is not pregnant. Back-up contraception should be used for 7 days unless contraception is initiated within the first 5 days of menstrual bleeding or the woman abstains from sexual intercourse. WARNING: The use of combination hormonal contraceptives has been associated with a slightly increased risk of cervical cancer (cancer of the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina). Use with caution in patients with risk factors for cardiac (heart) disease, with a high risk of depression, with diabetes. In addition to its desired action, Min Ovral 28 (Ethinyl Estradiol Levonorgestrel) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause headaches, heavy/irregular vaginal bleeding, nausea/vomiting, acne, weight gain It may cause mood changed, anxiety/panic attack, breast pain, and migraines Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to ethinyl estradiol, levonorgestrel, or any component of the formulation. Breast cancer, hepatic (liver) tumors, acute viral hepatitis or severe cirrhosis (liver diseases), hepatitis C (liver disease) drug combinations containing ombitasvir/paritaprevir/ritonavir, with or without dasabuvir, undiagnosed abnormal uterine bleeding, pregnancy, females at high risk of vascular disease (any condition that affects the network of your blood vessels), diabetes mellitus with any of the following: age >35 years, duration >20 years, hypertension (high blood pressure), vascular disease, or other end-organ damage (damage occurring in major organs fed by the circulatory system (heart, kidneys, brain, eyes)), deep vein thrombosis (blood clots in deep veins usually legs) or blockage in one of the pulmonary arteries in the lungs, abnormally increased tendency toward blood clotting (coagulation), uncontrolled high blood pressure (hypertension), migraine headaches with any of the following: age >35 years, aura (flashes of light, blind spots, and other vision changes or tingling in your hand or face), or focal neurological symptoms (impairments of nerve, spinal cord, or brain function that affects a specific region of the body), cardiac (heart) problems, smoking if >35 years of age. Taking Min Ovral 28 (Ethinyl Estradiol Levonorgestrel) during pregnancy is contraindicated and harmful for the baby. Combination hormonal contraceptives are used to prevent pregnancy, treatment should be discontinued if pregnancy occurs. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Min Ovral 28 (Ethinyl Estradiol Levonorgestrel) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
