Description

Mint Eplerenone (Eplerenone) is a potassium sparing diuretic agent (prevent excessive loss of potassium). It is typically used to treat heart failure (a condition that develops when the heart doesn’t pump enough blood for your body’s needs) after a heart attack. It is also used to treat high blood pressure. It may also have other uses.

Additional information

Mint Eplerenone (Eplerenone) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. WARNING: Too much potassium in the blood (hyperkalemia) is one of the most common risks of eplerenone. Hyperkalemia that is not recognized and treated can cause serious heart rhythm problems, which can sometimes be fatal. Your doctor will monitor your potassium levels before starting eplerenone, during the first week of taking eplerenone, and periodically throughout your therapy. Use with caution in patients with renal (kidney) problems. Use with caution in patients with hepatic (liver) problems.
In addition to its desired action, Mint Eplerenone (Eplerenone) may cause some side effects, notably:
