Description
Misoprostol (Misoprostol) is typically used to protect the stomach lining. It is typically used to reduce the risk of painkillers-induced gastric ulcers (stomach lesion) in patients at high risk of complications, as well as the termination of intrauterine pregnancy. It may also have other uses.

Misoprostol (Misoprostol) is typically used four times daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with food avoid magnesium containing antacids (minimizes diarrhea), last dose of the day should be taken at bedtime. Therapy should continue through the duration of pain killer therapy. WARNING: Patients must be advised of the abortifacient property (it causes abortion) and warned not to give the drug to others. In addition to its desired action, Misoprostol (Misoprostol) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation, flatulence (gas), nausea, vomiting It may cause headaches Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to misoprostol, other prostaglandins (similar agents), or any component of the formulation, pregnancy Taking Misoprostol (Misoprostol) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Misoprostol (Misoprostol) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
