Description
Moclobemide (Moclobemide) is an antidepressant. It is typically used for the symptomatic relief of depression. It may also have other uses.

Moclobemide (Moclobemide)'s dosage depends on the condition, it is usually given twice daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer immediately after food. WARNING: Antidepressants increase the risk of suicidal thinking and behavior in children, adolescents, and young adults (18 to 24 years of age) with major depression and mental problems, may cause mild pupillary dilation which in susceptible individuals can lead to increased eye pressure. The patient's family or caregiver should be alerted to monitor patients for the emergence of suicidality and associated behaviors such as anxiety, agitation, panic attacks and inability to sleep. These events may occur at anytime during therapy and without warning. In addition to its desired action, Moclobemide (Moclobemide) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause tachycardia (increase heart rate) and hypotension (low blood pressure). It may cause constipation, diarrhea, stomach disease and vomiting. It may cause tremor and blurred vision. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity (severe allergy) to moclobemide or any component of the formulation, acute confusional states, concurrent use of bupropion and use of other antidepressants. Taking Moclobemide (Moclobemide) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. There is no available data regarding the harm of Moclobemide (Moclobemide) for the fetus, therefore it is not recommended to use it. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Moclobemide (Moclobemide) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
