Mylan Budesonide AQ (Budesonide) is typically taken as 2 sprays into each nostril once daily in the morning, or 1 spray into each nostril morning and evening for rhinitis, and 1 spray into each nostril, morning and evening for nasal polyps. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. It may take 2-3 days (and up to 2 weeks) to work. Take it each day without missing a dose to get the best results. Clear the nasal passage by gently blowing your nose. Tilt your head forward slightly, then insert the nozzle of the spray into one nostril and close the other nostril with your finger. Press down on the nozzle once while breathing in through the nose and keeping your mouth closed. Exhale through your mouth. If you are using 2 sprays, try to aim the first spray high into the nose and the second one into the lower half of the nose. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. 

WARNING: Corticosteroids such as budesonide nasal spray may impair the growth of children and adolescents. Budesonide may mask the signs and symptoms of an infection, or an infection may start while you are on budesonide therapy. The effects of budesonide may be more pronounced if you have an underactive thyroid gland (gland found in the neck). Treatment with budesonide should be tapered off gradually and not stopped abruptly. Using corticosteroids for a prolonged period of time may cause vision problems.

In addition to its desired action, Mylan Budesonide AQ (Budesonide) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause bleeding or crusting inside the nose, burning, dryness, or other irritation inside the nose (mild and lasting only a short time).
It may cause cough, dizziness, fatigue, headache, and nausea.
It may cause nose irritation, throat irritation, and throat itching.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Budesonide or any component of the formulation. When used for self-medication, do not use in children <6 years of age.

Taking Mylan Budesonide AQ (Budesonide) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
