Description
Nabumetone (Nabumetone) is an anti-inflammatory agent. It is typically used for the management of the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis (joint inflammation) and rheumatoid arthritis (an autoimmune, inflammatory joint disease). It may also have other uses.

Nabumetone (Nabumetone) is usually given once to twice daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with or without food. WARNING: Anti-inflammatory medications cause an increased risk of serious (and potentially fatal) adverse heart events, including heart attack. Risk may occur early during treatment and may increase with duration of use. It can cause increased risk of serious stomach inflammation, ulceration (lesions), bleeding, and perforation (may be fatal), elderly patients and patients with history of these problems are at greater risk of serious stomach events. These events may occur at anytime during therapy and without warning. In addition to its desired action, Nabumetone (Nabumetone) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause weight loss, constipation, stomach pain and vomiting. It may cause liver problems and difficulty breathing. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity or severe allergy to nabumetone, or any component of the formulation, history of severe respiratory diseases or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other anti-inflammatory medications, use in the setting of heart surgery, active stomach bleed or perforation. Taking Nabumetone (Nabumetone) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Nabumetone (Nabumetone) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
