Description
Nadryl (Diphenhydramine) is an anti-allergy agent. It is typically used to treat sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, skin rash, itching, and other cold or allergy symptoms. It may also have other uses.

Nadryl (Diphenhydramine) is typically used four times daily. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer this drug with or without food. WARNING: This drug may cause central nervous system depression, which may impair physical or mental abilities, patients must be cautioned about performing tasks which require mental alertness. Use with caution in patient with history of asthma (disease that affects your lungs). Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular (heart) problems. Use with caution in patients with increased intraocular (inside the eye) pressure. Use with caution in patients with thyroid dysfunction (a condition in which your thyroid gland doesn't produce enough of certain hormones). In addition to its desired action, Nadryl (Diphenhydramine) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting. It may cause blurred vision, fatigue, dryness of the mouth. It may cause low blood pressure, dizziness. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to diphenhydramine, or any component of the formulation, neonates or premature infants, breastfeeding. Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, or breastfeeding contact your family doctor. A treatment with Nadryl (Diphenhydramine) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
