Description
Neuleptil (Pericyazine) is an antipsychotic agent. It is typically used for certain mental disorders (psychosis). It may also have other uses.

Neuleptil (Pericyazine) is typically used 2 times daily, one dose in the morning and the other one in the evening. In general, lower dosage should be used on initiation and gradually increased based on effect and tolerance. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with or without food. WARNING: This medication might impair the physical or mental abilities, cause depression, harm the eyes and the cardiovascular (heart) system. These events may occur at anytime during therapy and without warning. In addition to its desired action, Neuleptil (Pericyazine) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause respiratory diseases, blurred vision, false positive pregnancy test, decrease in libido (the energy of sexual drive), ejaculation issues, change of weight, constipation or diarrhea. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity (severe allergic reactions) to periciazine, phenothiazine derivatives (similar agents), or any component of the formulation, altered states of consciousness. Taking Neuleptil (Pericyazine) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Neuleptil (Pericyazine) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
