Description

NIC HIT Orange (Nicotine) is a nicotine replacement therapy agent. It is typically used to help people quit smoking. It may also have other uses.

Additional information

NIC HIT Orange (Nicotine) is typically given on three steps. During each step it is recommended to use it differently. Step 1 (week 1-6): Use 1 to 2 sprays, 1 to 24 times a day. Step 2 (week 7-9): you should be using half the number of sprays used in step 1. Step 3 (week 10-12): Use 2 to 4 sprays per day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. It can be given with or without food. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. 
 
WARNING: Used it with caution if you are diabetic and monitor more often your blood sugar levels. If you are using any medication like theophylline, tacrine, clozapine or ropinirole and you decided to stop smoking the doses of these medications should be adjusted. Use nicotine replacement therapy with caution if you have liver and kidney diseases or if you have heart problems.
 
In addition to its desired action, NIC HIT Orange (Nicotine) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause headaches, nausea and mouth pain.
It may cause difficulty digesting the food, increase saliva production and dry mouth.
 
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to nicotine or any component of the formulation, do not use it if you are under 12 years of age, do not use it if you are not a smoker.
 
Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
