Description
Odan Colchicine (Colchicine) is an antigout agent. It is typically used is a medication used to treat gout (a form of joint inflammation that occurs when too much uric acid builds up in the body because the body is unable to get rid of it quickly enough) and prevent frequently occurring attacks of gout. It may also have other uses.

Odan Colchicine (Colchicine) is typically used once or twice daily (maximum: 1.2 mg/day). However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Take this drug orally with water and maintain adequate fluid intake. May be administered with or without food. WARNING: Use with caution in elderly. Use with caution in patients with mild to moderate cardiac (heart), renal (kidney), hepatic (liver) or gastrointestinal disease (stomach and the intestines). In addition to its desired action, Odan Colchicine (Colchicine) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps or pain. It may cause muscle weakness or pain, fast heartbeat, shortness of breath. It may cause skin rash, alopecia (hair loss). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to colchicine, serious gastrointestinal (stomach and the intestines), hepatic (liver), renal (kidney), and cardiac (heart) disease. Taking Odan Colchicine (Colchicine) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
