Description
Omnaris (Ciclesonide) is a nasal corticosteroid agent. It is typically used for the management of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis (runny nose). It may also have other uses.

Omnaris (Ciclesonide) is usually given once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Avoid nasal corticosteroid use in patients with recent nasal ulcers, nasal surgery or nasal trauma until healing has occurred. Prolonged use of corticosteroids may increase the incidence of secondary infection. Nasal perforation, nasal ulceration, epistaxis (a minor bleeding from the blood vessels of the nose), and localized fungal infections of the nose or pharynx may occur. Monitor patients periodically for adverse nasal effects. Eye disorders might happen during treatment, consider routine eye exams in chronic users or in patients who report visual changes. Avoid using higher than recommended dosages, suppression of linear growth in the pediatric population. These events may occur at anytime during therapy and without warning. In addition to its desired action, Omnaris (Ciclesonide) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause epistaxis (a minor bleeding from the blood vessels of the nose). It may cause headaches, infections in the nose and pharynx and fungal infections (in the mouth). It may cause back pain, upper respiratory tract infections (coughing, runny nose, sneezing and throat pain), otalgia: ear pain and nasal discomfort. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to ciclesonide or any component of the formulation, active or quiescent tuberculosis infections of the respiratory tract. Taking Omnaris (Ciclesonide) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Omnaris (Ciclesonide) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
