Opus SENNA 8.6 mg (Sennosides) is typically used once daily. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Once-daily doses should be preferentially taken at bedtime. Administer 2 hours before or after other medications. WARNING: chronic use or overdosage of laxatives may produce persistent diarrhea, hypokalemia (low potassium levels), loss of essential nutritional factors, and dehydration. In addition to its desired action, Opus SENNA 8.6 mg (Sennosides) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause increased thirst or urination. It may cause stomach/abdominal pain or cramping, nausea, diarrhea, weakness. It may cause hypokalemia (low potassium levels). Contraindications: Intestinal obstruction (a blockage that keeps food or liquid from passing through your small intestine or large intestine). Taking Opus SENNA 8.6 mg (Sennosides) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method.
