Description
PDP Pyrazinamide (Pyrazinamide) is an antitubercular agent. It is typically used to treat and prevent tuberculosis (bacterial infection that usually affects the lungs). It may also have other uses.

PDP Pyrazinamide (Pyrazinamide) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Take this drug with or without food. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with a history of alcoholism. Use with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus (a disease that occurs when your blood sugar, is too high). Use with caution in patients with chronic gout (disease that occurs when uric acid builds up in blood and causes inflammation in the joints). Use with caution in patients with hepatic (liver) problems. In addition to its desired action, PDP Pyrazinamide (Pyrazinamide) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause nausea, vomiting, anorexia (an eating disorder characterized by an abnormally low body weight). It may cause joint pain, muscle pain, unusual tiredness. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to pyrazinamide or any component of the formulation, acute gout, severe hepatic (liver) damage. Taking PDP Pyrazinamide (Pyrazinamide) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
