Description

PMS Betahistine (Betahistine) is an agent used for reducing the episodes of recurrent vertigo (dizziness) associated with Meniere’s disease (disorder of the inner ear that can lead to dizzy spells (vertigo) and hearing loss). It may also have other uses.

Additional information

PMS Betahistine  (Betahistine) is typically used three times daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with or without meals, administer with meals if stomach effects occur.

WARNING: Use with caution in asthma (respiratory condition causing difficulty in breathing), heart disease, liver impairment.

In addition to its desired action, PMS Betahistine  (Betahistine) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause headaches, occasional drowsiness, nausea, indigestion 
It may cause mild gastric complaints such as vomiting, stomach pain and bloating

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to betahistine or any component of the formulation, presence or history of a break in the inner lining of the stomach, pheochromocytoma (usually non cancerous (benign) tumor that develops in an adrenal gland, gland at the top of the kidneys)

Taking PMS Betahistine  (Betahistine) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
