Description
PMS Entecavir (Entecavir) is an antiviral agent. It is typically used for the management of chronic hepatitis B virus infection (a serious liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV)). It may also have other uses.

PMS Entecavir (Entecavir) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer on an empty stomach (2 hours before or after a meal). WARNING: Severe, acute exacerbation of hepatitis B (liver disease caused by a virus) may occur upon discontinuation of anti-hepatitis B therapy, including entecavir. Monitor liver function for at least several months after stopping treatment, reinitiation of anti-hepatitis B therapy may be required. In addition to its desired action, PMS Entecavir (Entecavir) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause abdominal or stomach discomfort, cough, decreased appetite, diarrhea, difficulty with swallowing It may cause dizziness, fast heartbeat, fast and shallow breathing It may cause a general feeling of discomfort Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to entecavir or any component of the formulation Taking PMS Entecavir (Entecavir) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with PMS Entecavir (Entecavir) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
