Description
PMS Montelukast (Montelukast) is typically used for respiratory diseases. It is typically used for the relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis (a condition causing sneezing, itching, nasal congestion, and runny nose), exercise-induced bronchospasm (narrowing of the airways) and the management of chronic asthma (narrowing of the airways causing difficulty breathing). It may also have other uses.

PMS Montelukast (Montelukast) is typically used once daily in the evening. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. It may be taken with or without meals. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Montelukast is not FDA approved for use in the reversal of bronchospasm (narrowing of the airways) in acute asthma attacks, including status asthmaticus (a severe condition in which asthma attacks follow one another without pause). Serious neuropsychiatric events have been reported with the use of Montelukast. These include agitation, aggression, depression, sleep disturbances, suicidal thoughts and behavior. In addition to its desired action, PMS Montelukast (Montelukast) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause agitation, aggression, feeling restless or irritable. It may cause anxiety, depression, confusion, problems with memory or attention, or weird dreams. It may cause stuttering, tremors, uncontrolled muscle movements. It may cause symptoms of a cold (sore throat, runny nose, nasal congestion), diarrhea, or stomach pain. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Montelukast or any component of the formulation. Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with PMS Montelukast (Montelukast) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
