Description
Rezdiffra (Resmetirom) is an agent used for liver conditions. It is typically used to treat NASH (a problem called NASH, which stands for noncirrhotic nonalcoholic steatohepatitis), which happens when fat collects in the liver and causes swelling and damage. It may also have other uses.

Rezdiffra (Resmetirom) is usually taken once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may suggest a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not take more of this product, or take it more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. It can be taken with or without food. WARNING: Your healthcare professional may do certain tests before and during your treatment with Rezdiffra. These tests may check: The levels of cholesterol and other fats in your blood and your liver function In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause diarrhea, nausea or vomiting It may cause tiredness, changes in appetite or weight Contraindications: Do not use this medication if you have a known allergy (hypersensitivity) to any of its ingredients. Taking this medication during pregnancy is contraindicated and harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with this medication requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.
