Description
SDZ Finasteride 5 mg (Finasteride) is typically used for prostate problems. It is typically used for the treatment and control of benign prostate hyperplasia (overgrowth of prostate tissue) to cause regression of the enlarged prostate, and improve urinary flow and improve the symptoms. It may also have other uses.

SDZ Finasteride 5 mg (Finasteride) is typically used once daily, at approximately the same time, usually in the evening. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. May be administered with or without meals. Pregnant patients and patients who could become pregnant should not touch or handle crushed or broken tablets. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with hepatic (liver) impairment, finasteride is extensively metabolized in the liver. In addition to its desired action, SDZ Finasteride 5 mg (Finasteride) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause impotence (erectile dysfunction) It may cause hypotension (low blood pressure), orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure that happens when you stand up from sitting or lying down), peripheral edema (swelling of lower legs or hands) It may cause decreased libido, gynecomastia (enlargement of breasts in men) It may cause breast tenderness (pain), decreased ejaculate volume, ejaculatory disorder, sexual disorder Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to finasteride or any component of the formulation, pregnancy or patients who may potentially be pregnant. Taking SDZ Finasteride 5 mg (Finasteride) during pregnancy is contraindicated and harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
