Description
SDZ Indomethacin (Indomethacin) is an anti-inflammatory agent. It is typically used to relieve pain, swelling, and joint stiffness caused by arthritis (joint inflammation), gout (a type of arthritis that causes pain and swelling in your joints), bursitis (inflammation of the shoulder or elbow), and tendonitis (inflammation of a tendon). It may also have other uses.

SDZ Indomethacin (Indomethacin) is typically used once or twice times daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. For rectal use only, not for oral or intravaginal use. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular (heart) problems. Use with caution in patients with gastrointestinal (relating to both the stomach and the intestine) problems. Use with caution in patients with hepatic (liver) problems. Use with caution in patients with depression. Use with caution in patients with epilepsy (a central nervous system disorder in which brain activity becomes abnormal). Use with caution in patients with parkinson (a progressive nervous system disorder that affects movement). In addition to its desired action, SDZ Indomethacin (Indomethacin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation, decreased appetite, diarrhea. It may cause postoperative hemorrhage (bleeding after a surgical procedure), headache. It may cause skin rash, syncope (temporary loss of consciousness caused by a fall in blood pressure). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity reactions to indomethacin or any component of the formulation, use in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft surgery (a surgical procedure in which one or more blocked coronary arteries are bypassed by a blood vessel graft to restore normal blood flow to the heart), history of asthma (a respiratory condition marked by attacks of spasm in the bronchi of the lungs, causing difficulty in breathing), urticaria (red and sometimes itchy bumps on your skin), or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other anti-inflammatories agents, patients with a history of proctitis (inflammation of the rectum and anus) or recent rectal bleeding. Taking SDZ Indomethacin (Indomethacin) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
