Description
SDZ Metoprolol (Metoprolol) is an antihypertensive agent. It is typically used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and other heart diseases. It may also have other uses.

SDZ Metoprolol (Metoprolol) is typically used one to two times per day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Your doctor or nurse will administer SDZ Metoprolol (Metoprolol) to you in a hospital or clinical setting. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus, with hepatic (liver) impairment and with myasthenia gravis (weakness in the muscles) In addition to its desired action, SDZ Metoprolol (Metoprolol) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause slow heart rate (bradycardia), low blood pressure (hypotension) and other cardiac problems It may cause skin rash, diarrhea, depression, dizziness Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to metoprolol, any component of the formulation, or other same class medications (beta blockers), second- or third-degree heart block (an abnormal heart rhythm), hypertension (high blood pressure), angina (chest pain), myocardial infarction (cardiac problem) Taking SDZ Metoprolol (Metoprolol) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with SDZ Metoprolol (Metoprolol) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
