Additional information

A second tablet may be taken if your headache returns or if you need more relief, but not sooner than 4 hours following the first tablet. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with or without food as soon as symptoms appear. WARNING: Naratriptan should only be used where there is a clear diagnosis of migraine headache. This medication may cause drowsiness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or perform other potentially hazardous tasks until you have determined how SDZ Naratriptan (Naratriptan) affects you. There have been rare reports of heart attack and stroke occurring with people who have appeared to be otherwise healthy. Use with caution in patients with kidney or liver impairment. The overuse of Naratriptan may create a situation where the headache returns as the medication wears off, prompting the use of more medication. Do not take more Naratriptan than recommended by your doctor. If you require more than 5 mg of Naratriptan in a 24-hour period, or need to treat more than four headaches over 30 days, contact your doctor. In addition to its desired action, SDZ Naratriptan (Naratriptan) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause pain, fatigue, dizziness, drowsiness, paresthesia (burning or prickling sensation) that is usually felt in the hands, arms, legs, or feet, but can also occur in other parts of the body. It may cause hot and cold flashes, sensation of pressure (chest, neck, throat, jaw) and vertigo. It may cause nausea, vomiting, xerostomia (refers to a condition in which the salivary glands in your mouth don't make enough saliva to keep your mouth wet). It may cause neck pain, constriction of the pharynx, respiratory infections and photophobia (fear of light). Contraindications: Severe renal impairment (low kidney function) or severe hepatic (liver) impairment, hypersensitivity to Naratriptan or any component of the formulation, ischemic coronary artery disease (a condition where the heart is not getting enough blood and oxygen). Severe hypertension (high blood pressure), cardiac arrhythmias (especially tachycardias (irregular heartbeats)), valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease, atherosclerotic disease (disease that occurs when plaque builds up inside arteries), management of ophthalmoplegic migraine (high pressure in the eye).
