Simponi I. V. (Golimumab)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. Your doctor or nurse will administer Simponi I. V. (Golimumab) to you in a hospital or clinical setting. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with heart failure (a condition that develops when the heart doesn't pump enough blood). Use with caution in elderly. Patients receiving golimumab are at increased risk for serious infections which may result in hospitalization and/or fatality In addition to its desired action, Simponi I. V. (Golimumab) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause constipation, dizziness, nausea, fever, injection site reactions. It may cause infection, high blood pressure, skin rash. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to golimumab, or any other component of formulation, patients with severe infections, moderate or severe heart failure. Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Simponi I. V. (Golimumab) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
