Twinrix Junior (Hepatitis A and B vaccine) is typically taken as 3 total doses administered at 0, 1, and 6 months. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. It will be given to you by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinical setting. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. It will be injected into a muscle. WARNING: Syncope (fainting) has been reported with use of injectable vaccines and may result in serious secondary injury In addition to its desired action, Twinrix Junior (Hepatitis A and B vaccine) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause diarrhea, drowsiness, fatigue, fever It may cause generally feeling unwell, headache, irritability or fussiness (children and infants) It may cause loss of appetite, muscle aches, nausea Contraindications: Severe allergic reaction after a previous dose of any hepatitis A–containing or hepatitis B–containing vaccine, or any component of the formulation, including yeast and neomycin.
