Description
Veregen (Sinecatechins) is a topical skin agent. It is typically used to treat genital and anal warts (common sexually transmitted infection) by adults caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). It may also have other uses.

Veregen (Sinecatechins) is typically used three times daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Wash hands before and after application, apply with fingers, leaving a thin layer of ointment, do not wash ointment off affected area after application. Do not apply internally, do not apply to open wounds, do not apply occlusive dressing. WARNING: Discontinue treatment if the severity of local skin reactions becomes unacceptable. Do not expose the genital area being treated with sinecatechins to sunlight, sun lamps or tanning beds. This medication does not prevent papillomavirus (HPV) from being passed to sexual partners. It is important to practice safe sex, such as using condoms, while using sinecatechins ointment. In addition to its desired action, Veregen (Sinecatechins) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause blisters, burning, itching, redness, swelling. It may cause hypersensitivity reaction, local pain. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the extract from green tea leaves or any component of the formulation. Taking Veregen (Sinecatechins) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Veregen (Sinecatechins) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
