Your doctor or nurse will administer Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) to you in a hospital or clinical setting. WARNING: Diabetics (patients with high blood sugar level), patients prone to recurrent renal calculi (kidney stones), those undergoing stool occult blood tests, and those on sodium-restricted diets or anticoagulant therapy (medications that help stop your blood from thickening or “clotting”) should not take excessive doses of vitamin C over an extended period of time. In addition to its desired action, Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause nausea, vomiting, heartburn. It may cause stomach cramps, headache. It may cause injection site pain, faintness, dizziness. Contraindications: Contraindicated in those persons who have shown hypersensitivity to any component of this preparation. Taking Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
