Description
Vyzulta (Latanoprostene) is an antiglaucoma agent. It is typically used to lower intraocular (eye) pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension (having a higher-than-normal pressure in your eyes). It may also have other uses.

Vyzulta (Latanoprostene) is typically used as one drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. If more than one topical ophthalmic drug is being used, administer the drugs at least 5 minutes apart. Remove contact lenses prior to administration and wait 15 minutes before re-inserting. WARNING: increased pigmentation of the iris (the colored part of your eye) and periorbital tissue (eyelid) can occur. Iris pigmentation is likely to be permanent. Gradual changes to eyelashes including increased length, increased thickness and number of eyelashes can occur. Usually reversible upon discontinuation of treatment. Intraocular inflammation and exacerbation of inflammation may occur, use with caution in patients with a history of intraocular (eye) inflammation. In addition to its desired action, Vyzulta (Latanoprostene) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause application site pain, conjunctival hyperemia (conjunctival reaction that appears as dilation and redness of the conjunctival (eye) vessels), eye irritation, eye pain Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Latanoprostene or any component of the formulation. Taking Vyzulta (Latanoprostene) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Vyzulta (Latanoprostene) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
