Xtandi (Enzalutamide) is an anticancer agent. It is typically used for the treatment of prostate cancer. It may also have other uses.

Xtandi (Enzalutamide) is typically taken once daily as a single dose (4 capsules). However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer at the same time each day, either with or without food. Swallow capsules whole, do not chew, dissolve, or open the capsules. WARNING: Ischemic heart disease (heart problems caused by narrowed heart arteries. When arteries are narrowed, less blood and oxygen reaches the heart muscle) occurred more commonly in patients receiving enzalutamide In addition to its desired action, Xtandi (Enzalutamide) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause anxiety, back or joint pain, constipation It may cause a decreased appetite, diarrhea, dizziness or spinning sensation It may cause drowsiness, dry, itchy skin, falls Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to enzalutamide or any component of the formulation, women who are or may become pregnant or are lactating Taking Xtandi (Enzalutamide) during pregnancy is contraindicated and harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Xtandi (Enzalutamide) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
