Taro Dipyridamole ASA (Acetylsalicylic Acid Dipyridamole)

Taro Dipyridamole ASA (Acetylsalicylic Acid Dipyridamole) is typically used twice per day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with or without food.

WARNING: Use with caution in patients with acquired or inherited platelet (cells involved in blood clotting) and bleeding disorders, monitor for signs and symptoms of stomach ulcers (sores) and bleeding. Heavy ethanol use (>3 drinks/day) may increase bleeding risk and may enhance stomach irritation and bleeding. Use with caution in patients with kidney and liver impairment. Avoid use in children. Aspirin should be avoided (if possible) in surgical patients for 1 to 2 weeks prior to surgery. These events may occur at anytime during therapy and without warning.

In addition to its desired action, Taro Dipyridamole ASA (Acetylsalicylic Acid Dipyridamole) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause headaches, stomach pain, nausea and diarrhea.
It may cause vomiting, stomach bleeding and bleeding.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity (severe allergy) to aspirin, dipyridamole, or any component of the formulation, allergy to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, patients with the syndrome of asthma (chronic inflammatory disease), rhinitis (inflammation and swelling of the mucous membrane of the nose), and nasal polyps (soft, painless, non cancerous growths lining the nose), children or adolescents with viral infections. Patients with hereditary fructose and galactose intolerance, active stomach ulcer or bleeding disorders, last trimester of pregnancy.

Taking Taro Dipyridamole ASA (Acetylsalicylic Acid Dipyridamole) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, contact your family doctor.
